Yay They're Here!

After waiting for the last 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days (plus an extra week cos we had dates mixed up) we have up to now 6 healthy piglets and Charlotte is still in labour.

All seems to be going well and the piglets are coming along at about 10 minute intervals now. It's so exciting! We missed the first one being born by a minute or so but have been there for the rest.

Here's a photo of the first 4, they're in a box in the house to dry off and warm up and will go back to mum as soon as she's finished giving birth. It's really cold tonight and we've followed the advice of our friend who has bred lots of pigs over many years.

Quick update.......piglet number 8 just made it's way into the world!
